Call for evidence on Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill
The UK Parliament is asking for those with ‘relevant expertise and experience or a special interest in the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill’ to send in their views in writing to the House of Commons Public Bill Committee. The second part of the bill on ‘Schools’ will include breakfast clubs and school food standards. It says:
‘Breakfast clubs and school food standards
Require state-funded primary schools to provide free breakfast clubs (clause 21)
Clarify the law on the application of school food standards to academies, including at breakfast (clause 22)’
The Committee will have its first meeting on Tuesday 21st January and will report by Tuesday 11th February. Those who would like to send in a submission are advised to send it in as soon as possible so that the Committee have more time to take it into consideration.
